About the Estate

Set across 52 acres of native bushland on Tasmania’s East Coast, the eight private retreats at Wineglass Bay Estate overlook the vast waterways of Moulting Lagoon, capturing uninterrupted water and bushland views from every stay.

Designed as a place to slow down and reconnect with nature, the estate offers a quieter style of luxury accommodation near Freycinet National Park and Friendly Beaches.

Each retreat has been thoughtfully designed for couples, sitting somewhere between the comfort of a boutique luxury hotel and the privacy of a beautifully considered Airbnb experience.

Inside, the retreats feature soaring gable ceilings, contemporary interiors and oversized windows designed to frame the surrounding landscape and changing light across the lagoon. Warm textures, natural tones and luxury finishes create spaces that feel calming, spacious and deeply connected to the environment outside.

While the future restaurant and cellar door are still under construction ahead of opening in 2026, they are positioned separately from the accommodation precinct and do not impact the retreat experience.

Guests are encouraged to roam the property freely, listen to the birdlife, watch black swans move across the lagoon and unwind with a glass of wine as the sun disappears across one of Tasmania’s most remarkable natural landscapes.

Wineglass Bay Estate offers a slower, more immersive East Coast experience designed around privacy, nature and simple luxury.
